"I live in a single-roomed house that cannot accommodate my entire family. The house serves as a kitchen, bedroom and at the same time living room. In our culture, it is wrong for grown children to sleep in the same house as parents. Every evening my daughters are forced to go to my neighbor's house to have sleep. Going out in the evening is often dangerous for them and at times I have to escort them to ensure that they get there safely. One day they were almost raped as they made their way and this has made me think of a way I can solve this problem but up to now I do not know how to go around this."

"I will buy a relatively large water tank for storing rainwater upon receiving the transfer. Currently, I am fetching clean water from a stream that is situated approximately four kilometers from our homestead. The task is highly tiresome because I usually carry a 20-liter jerrican daily on my back. Hence, receiving this money will be a great relief to me and a blessing to my family. I shall no longer be fetching the water, and we will have plenty of freshwater in our household."
