"My children are growing up fast and I have always seen the need of building another house that can accommodate all of us well. I have five children and with only one room, we are very squeezed and lack privacy. I will use 500 USD to build a three roomed house. I will then use 210 USD to buy three goats and one cow. I have several goats and I have seen the benefits of livestock farming. Adding 3 more goats and a cow will be a big boost to me."

"Receiving this money means a lot to my family because I know we will fulfill our desire of building a semi-permanent house. Living in a grassed-roofed house that is leaking is so annoying, more so whenever you have visitors. Also, it acts as both kitchen and bedroom hence there no privacy for my grown-up children whenever they need to change their clothes. I will use this transfer to purchase building materials and the remaining I will buy a dairy cow. Having this house will give my children enough specious, their privacy and humble time when they are studying."

"I have been nursing my leg which has a nerve problem for a long time. I managed to visit different hospitals for medication but the doctors confirmed that I should go for surgery so that I can be well. Since that time I have not managed to go for surgery because as a charcoal vendor the income I get every month is 3000 Kenya shilling which is not enough to cater for the medication. Financial problem is therefore the biggest hardship in my life."

"Receiving this money means I will be able to build another house because my current house is not spacious and it leaks during the rainy season. I will use 50,000 Kenya shillings to build a three roomed house which will also accommodate my visitors. I will also use 25,000 Kenya shillings to purchase a bed and mattress. The remaining amount will be used for my daily needs such as buying food and clothes."

"I was once married but got separated from my husband 10 years ago and left me with 5 kids to cater for. Since the time we parted ways, there is no single input or assistance that I got from him in terms of catering for the kids. He left me all alone to act as their father and mother at the same time. Life has not been easy since I do not have a sustainable source of income to rely on. Luckily enough I came back home and was welcomed by my parents as I try to fend for all of them. This for me is the biggest hardship I have ever faced in life."

"Owning a modern irony roofed house like other villagers have been the greatest desire in my life. This is because my house is leaking, grass thutched, and requires maintenance every year which is costly. I am planning to spend $ 250 to purchase 16 iron sheets, poles and to pay labor charge to construct a one-roomed house. I will spend the remaining amount to purchase food and 12 goats at $30 each, This will be my future investment that will assist me whenever I face any financial needs."
