"I am a casual laborer and that's what I do to get money to feed my family. My wife is a small-scale trader who buys and sells vegetables in the village for a small profit. Receiving this money would mean that we focus all our energy on producing vegetables in our farm and since my wife is already an experienced trader she'll be able to sell these vegetables and make more profit."

"A prolonged period of drought has been the biggest hardship we have faced in life. We experience a minimal amount of rainfall in the year which has lowered crop production hence complicating our life. The land under cultivation is only 0.3 acres in which we grow maize. Due to lack/minimal rainfall, we harvest only 3 bags which is hardly enough to cater for my family of 3. This has compelled us to at times depend on our children for upkeep yet we feel we are becoming a burden to them."
