We could have been disappointed if you had not given us the funds but now were are happy since you have fulfilled your promise

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
last year in 2020 i struggled to buy fertilizer and ended up harvesting little crops but this year i have managed to buy the fertilize using the funds from GD and i am hoping that i will have a bumper harvest this year

I have bought iron sheets, bags of maize, blankets, bags of maize and fertilizer since i want to harvest this year and i do not want to be struggling with food issues just like the previous year

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am an old woman who cannot afford to farm as a result I rely much on begging for other people to share me food. I am hoping from this money I will be able to buy some maize for my food; pay some people to farm on my land and buy some fertilizers

In the evening when I am chilling with my family
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am old and I find it hard to feed my family as a result I starve most of the times.
