How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am now eating three times a day with the children. I will have a house. These are all things I could not afford on my own
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
There is nothing that I feel GiveDirectly does not do well. All the processes are fine
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When I recieved my second transfer, I used it to buy bricks so that I can build myself a decent house. I paid that builders with the money as well. I went on and bought a mattress for my children and school uniforms and bags. I bought 4 bags of maize so that i have enough food until we harvest.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
when i received the transfer i was very happy, for a long time i have dreaming of building a new house and i knew that my dreams are going to happen.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
i used to do piece work in order to find food for my family, sometimes we could sleep on an empty stomach because i could not find food. i never had time to work in my own farms because all i thought about was food for that day. since i received my money i bought enough food for my family and i no longer go in peoples farms to work i usually spend all the time in my farms.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
when i received my transfer i used the part of it to buy food, i used to do piece work in peoples farms just to find food for my family. this was very tough since i never had time to do to work in my own farm hence every year i had no food. the remaining portion was firstly used to buy iron sheets in preparations for house construction when i receive my second transfer, secondly i bought fertilizer, mattress, clothes and other basic needs.
