"In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well in my region and even in the other villages. First being among the beneficiaries, I was allowed to choose how I would wish to spend the money. I believe the organization considered the fact that every household has different needs. Also, I do not see any sector GD failed"

Bahati
received a $493 second payment.
"I sent part of my second transfer on buying an ox and a dairy cow at a total of KES 27000. These have been the assets that I have been admiring to keep for years but becasue of the poverty life that had stricken my household I could not afford to buy them. Also, I purchased an ox plough specifically for the ox. In addition, I bought building materials such as iron sheets, building poles and timber. This was for the addition of one room to my previous house since it only had one room. To add to that I paid school fees for my grandchildren. With the removing amount of money, I bought enough foodtufs for my family"

"In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well in my entire village becasue, the money was sent directly to our mobile phones. I was also allowed to plan on how I would wish to spend the money without misusing it. Also after every transfer, the officers used to make a follow-up on if the money was well recived and how we utilized it. I do not see any part GD failed us."

Zawadi
received a $493 second payment.
"My life is different than how it would have been because since I started receiving the money, I managed to construct a very decent spacious house. The initial one was very small and in a bad state some of its walls had cracks and though that, I was always attacked by some rodents. As a result, most of my properties were always damaged, and replacing them was a bit expensive. It is now a huge relief to me because I no longer have to worry about all those insecurity issues and the rains. Also, the bedding that I purchased has made my life smoother in such a way that I do no complain bout back pain like before."
