"My life is different than how it would have been becasue the transfer empowered me to start different projects that I could not have afforded if were for my own cash. First able to settle the fees arrears on time for my children has always been my wish but I could not afford it. Currently, they have been studying without being bothered like they used to do. Also, the house that I constructed makes me feel respected and proud becasue the house can now accommodate all my family members and host visitors, whereby previously this was difficult. Lastly, with the pair of oxen, they have brought price and joy into my life because I no longer have to use my own hands when cultivating. Also, I am assured of harvesting enough yield to fight the poverty that struck my compound."

"I spent part of my second transfer on buying a dairy cow at KES 18000, this will act as security just in case of any financial constraints. In addition, I purchased an ox plough KES 7000 for my oxen which I had initially bought using the first transfers. Later on, I cleared school fees areas for my two children who were to sit fr their final exams in college. With the money that had remained, I bought utensils borrowing those of my neighbors like before and enough food for the family."

"In my opinion, GiveDirectly does so perfectly well becasue in all the villages everyone has been talking about the positives. Especially on the way that everyone was sent the money directly to his or her phone which was so easy for us to access the help. It is such a unique organization I have ever seen so far. Therefore I do not see any sector GiveDirectly failed us."

"My life is completely different than how it would have been because I now sleeping in a wooden bed with a nice mattress. For all those I have been sleeping on traditional beds made of ropes, I have not been comfortable at all and I used to wake with severe back pains every morning and I had to seek medication attention on the same. I am now glad because ever since I purchased the bed, I wake up more refreshed and much healthier. Also, the goats that I purchased have already started reproducing, and very soon I will have many of them. Through them, I will be able to achieve most of my long-time goals."

"I spent a huge amount of my second transfer on buying two dairy cows worthy of KES 30000. This is what I have been willing to own as my living assets but I did not give the required money to purchase them. Also since I had not completed constructing my house, I bought iron sheets and nails, and it's now complete. To add to that, I gave the mason, KES 6000 as his labor charge. With the remaining amount of money, I bought enough foodstuffs for my family"

"Having the goats in my homestead in my compound had made to be different than how it would have been. This is becasue some have started reproducing and very soon then will multiply. I will later decide on the project I would which to start from the sale of some of the offsprings. In the meantime, in case of any emergency, I will sell matured offsprings and cater to the need. Also having renovated my house makes me happy because maybe sometime later my house could collapse. Lastly the fact that I cleared fees for my children has at least brought relief to me becasue they were always sent home to collect fees. They used to stay for weeks before they could return and as a result missing exams."

"The water tank that I purchased through the transfers makes my life different. Thus because since water shortage is a major issue I had to think of a permanent solution on the same. We normally fetch water on the dam which is very far from the village and sometimes it dries during the summer season. Therefore the tank has really saved me from the hustle of fetching the water for the many miles. I am harvesting the rainy water and storing them in the tank for my domestic purposes. I no longer complain of back pain which was a result of carrying the jerricans. Aso with the dairy cows I will be getting plenty of milk for my family consumption and commercial purposes."
