"The major challenge I'm currently face with is hardship which have to do with lack of money. There are so many days that I can't afford a meal. Sometime I have to do odd jobs just to find food. Getting money to meet up with my basic necessities is a serious problem because I don't have a reliable source of income. I will really appreciate any help I can get to improve my livelihood"

"Currently, the main challenge that I am going through is with my eye. Last year, a cataract started growing on my eye and it makes my sight very dim. I was felling the trees on my farm when the bark of the tree hit my eye. From that day up to today, I dont see very clear as I used to do. During the day, I don't see too clear with it except at night when I am able to see clear."

"I was at home looking after my cows as they herd in the fields when I suddenly heard my phone ringing to notify me of an incoming message. I decided to check it to see what it was all about, and to my surprise, I saw an SMS saying that I had received the lump sum transfer of KES 55000 in my mobile money account. I was so happy on seeing the SMS most especially because I wasn't expecting such good news. My children who had accompanied me noticed the excitement in me and they asked me what was going on. I told them what had transpired and they were so happy, we celebrated together."

"Upon receiving this cash, my plan is that, when I receive this money, I will send my children to school and make sure that some of graduate from high school. In my father's generation, non of my father children has graduate from high school. This also goes to me as example, I stop in the fifth grade class and since then, I have not gone back to school. And I don't want this curse to be in my generation. We survive from cutting palms just to feed the family, sometime, when we sells the palm and the oil, the money can't be enough to send them to school. The house that we are presently in, is a family house, we don't have much power over the house, because this house is my wife father's house. We have other family members that are in the house with us, at the end, I have to be spending sometime in my family home and allow her to sleep with the children. For this, when I receive this money, I will use portion of it to send my children to good school and use the balance to build a house."
