How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Having a new house constructed has been my goal before recieving this transfer. When I received the first transfer, my wife and I decided that we should build a new and decent house for us to live in. The house I am currently in with my family while constructing the new one has just two rooms which my wife and I sleep in one and the children sleep in the other. As seeing, this new house has four rooms that are well spacial. I thank GiveDirectly for giving me this amount of money from which I am able to build a house that I had dreamed of long since my youth days. I could not have achieved this goal just from cassava farm making.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Having a program like this especially with cash involve and not having no governmental influence is excellent and unbelievable. GiveDirectly does well by not allowing government or political institutions to have influence in its workings. In this way, the organization working is fair and independent. Absolutely nothing I have seen wrong that GiveDirectly is doing.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Through the my first payment I was able to buy two bundles of zinc fifteen thousand Liberian dollars (15,000LD) for each bundle. With the next payment I bought two additional bundles of zinc and two cartoons of nails. The most recent transfer was used to buy cement bags, planks and pay for workmanship. I am grateful for this wonderful opportunity from GiveDirectly and I am going to make a maximum use of it to better the living conditions of my household.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My first priority now is to send my daughter to college because since last year she graduated from high school there has been no enough money for her tuition fees. And secondly, I want to get zinc for my house because whenever rain falls it goes directly into my bedroom.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I'm always thinking about generating my daughter tuition fees each semester which is not an easy thing to do so over the past months I have not been happy, maybe hearing about the money transfer news from Givedirectly today may give me hope of getting my daughter tuition fees.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Everyday I'm worrying about getting my daughter tuition fees which has gotten me undergoing a lot of difficult time; making palm oil during the raining season and cutting palm for neighbors. Therefore; getting my daughter tuition fees each semester is my biggest challenge now.
