received a $492 second payment.
"I spent part of my second transfer on buying one dairy cow at KES 30000. It has been my long-time dream to practice dairy farming as an investment but because of my low wages, I could not afford it. . Also I paid cleared fees arrears for my children who are still in primary school. On top of that, I bought new school uniforms and stationery for them since they were lacking. With the remaining amount, I bought enough foodstuff for my family"

received a $492 second payment.
"I spent part of my second transfer on paying school fees for my son who is in his second year in college. Paying fees has been the major challenge and most of the time he couldn't sit for exams due to the huge fees arrears. Also, I bought some building materials such as iron sheets, bags of cement, and timber. This was for the addition of one room to my rental house since it only had three rooms and I thought of adding one so that I can get good returns. With the remaining amount of money, I bought enough foodstuff for my family"

"This money will mean alot to me and may family in so many ways.
Firstly as you can see our house is not yet finished so with this money we will finish up our house since for so many years we couldn't because of lack of finances.
We will also buy mattresses, blankets and other things we need for a good place to sleep. I dont remember my last since i slept on a matress and my children as well some of them they hadn't slept on a matress ever since they have born, so we are looking for a change."

received a $492 second payment.
"My life is different than how it would have been because I managed to construct two decents houses . The previous one was very small and this led to some of my family members always seek shelter from friends which was very frustrating since it was a daily routine. Also, there was no privacy at all and sometimes I felt I had failed as a parent but then my hope was someday I would also own my own decent house. I am glad GiveDirectly came right on time and enabled me to accomplish this. An also the goats that I now own will specifically be for my children's education which has been a challenge for all those years. They will no longer be sent home regularly as before."

Stanley
received a $492 second payment.
"My life is different than how it would have been had I not received the transfer. This is because I was able to lease and plant 3 acres of land for farming. Due to this, I am glad that my family will have enough food to last us till the next harvesting season this year. Also, through the sale of the proceeds, I will be able to achieve my dream of opening a hardware shop."
