"Hunger and living a poor life with my children without food in the house is the hardest thing I encountered in life! I was married in 2019 but hunger and difficulties in life made me leave my house and came back to my parents."

"I depend on my farm to get food for consumption and for sale. However,my biggest challenge as a farmer is the little harvest attributed to prolonged drought and unfertile land. This has led to low income since my farm is all what I can depend on. For many years, I have struggled to get the basic needs and educate my children due to low crop production. Financial struggles is therefore my biggest hardship."

"Recurrent drought. The place that I live receive less rainfall which is not enough. This in turn affects the production of maize since it's the only crop I grow and also the amount of water. This has been a challenge to me and my family."

"Having a family of six children without a stable source of income is making life more difficult for me. My children need to access basic education, food, clothing and shelter. It has been difficult to meet these needs because there are no reliable Jobs. What is even more worrying is the condition of my house that poses a threat to the lives of my children. The biggest hardship that I have ever faced therefore is unemployment."

"The biggest hardship is job security. I am currently a teacher but not employed fully and the money I earn is too little to cater for my family's needs with the rising cost of living."
