"My family is grateful for the transfer to be received. We have a house that needs to be renovated. I will use the money to buy bags of cement so that I can plaster walls of my house. My children's clothes are also torn apart such that I will also buy them clothes when I receive my transfer. I will also buy matresses for my household. My husband also intends to start a business so that he can multiply the money."

"The biggest hardship we have faced is the frequent droughts we experience in our area. As a subsistence farmer, I would like to irrigate my farms during the dry seasons. Unfortunately, I have never afforded to acquire the necessary equipment for storing water and irrigating my farms. As such, droughts have been destroying our crops, making it difficult for us to survive, meet our financial and food demands."

"Receiving this money means privacy to me and my husband. I am living in a one room muddy house with with my seven children. There is no privacy at all. I want to build a two room house that will be used by my children. The house will have 20 pieces of iron sheets that will cost Ksh.17000 . Other building materials and labour will cost Ksh. 30000. I will use the remaining amount to buy five goats as investment."

"To me, receiving this money means a chance for a better life. I have had a dream to buy a cow after selling the two I had five years ago to take care of my father's medication but I couldn't due to scarce resources. I am a masonry earning KES600 a day when I get some work and this isn't enough to take care of my personal basic needs and support my siblings. I believe having one again will mean an increase in my assets and I will rely on it for milk for my household consumption and sales to make an extra income thus I am planning to buy a cow worth KES30000 to start with. I wish to spend KES40000 to build an iron-roofed house and fully furnished. When I complete it I will be ready to marry and this will be my happiness since I will have a place to call home and share the comfort with my family. I am planning to invest KES20000 to invest in poultry farming since with egg production I will be able to meet my daily household needs thus save my earning for other incoming generating activities. I am planning to spend KES20000 on my personal basic needs mainly food and clothing."

"I have three on-going school children. Two are expected to complete their primary school level come next year. Their fortune to proceed even to join a local technical training college has been in the dark. So, receiving this money will mean a continuity in their academic ambitions."

"Lack of money is the biggest hardship I have ever faced. I lost both my mother and my four children in the past ten years due to health related complications. I used a lot of money in their hospital bills. I was forced to sell all my livestock in order to raise money for their hospital bills. Unfortunately, they did not make it. From that moment, all my finances were drained in totality and I have never made a come back again financially."

"In the year 2016 , a season of drought occurred for along period of time . The drought killed most of our livestock and crops. Therefore I had to go to Narok to burn charcoal to earn a living even though I knew this was an illegal activity in the country."
