""Money is a serious problem for me, because, I'm currently not involved with any business or job that generates something on a daily basis to take care of myself. This is a challenge that leads to another issue which is insufficient food at home! We barely have a proper meal to eat everyday! My spouse is the only person who's doing something for the family and it is a very hard labor. He goes to the gold mines everyday and he only gets paid on weekends. So, our entire situation is challenging at the moment!"

"Food is an important issue for us because, the more efforts we put into our farm, the less products we gather in that; the ground hug keeps destroying the crops. This results to insufficient crops to sell and to even eat as a family. The health system in our country puts us in a very challenging situation because, hospitals claim to offer free health services but when you go there, you're told to purchase your own drugs. With our already low income from the insufficient crops that our farm produces, it's even more difficult to cater to our health needs because our primary focus is always on food when we have small money.""

"Right now my family and i are going through a lot of hardship. The house we are currently living in is leaking. Whenever it rains, we have to shift our mattresses from one corner to another. I have been planning to change the thatch roof to zinc but i don't have the money to but zinc. I have to do contract for people to pay my children's school fees. Receiving this money will bring relief to my family and i. I will use the frist transfer to buy zinc. The next transfer will be use to buy other building materials. Since i have been planning to build a house, i will use this money to build a new house for My family. This will keep my family and i safe from the rain during the raining season. I will use my last transfer to pay my children's school fees and start a small business."

"All my life I've been farming and getting contracts on others farm just to send my children to school. As a single parent, life has been driving me so crazy. Last year i received 500Liberian Dollars from my elder sister where I went into selling pepper and bitter ball. We've been selling, saving and eating from that little business money. Receiving this cash transfer from Give Directly is like a dream come true. I've always dreamt of doing a bigger business, building a decent three bed room house and sending my children to an excellent school. With this cash transfer, I'm going use part of the money to send my children to school a good school, buy a half lots of land and build my a decent house for my children and use the remaining money for a business."

""I use gun (single barrel) to build and send my children to school. My parents were killed by LPC soldiers in 1996 during the war. Since then I have been hurting throughout my life to feel my family and send my children to school with animals that I killed. Whenever I sell those animals, I always kept some of the money and today am living in this house with my family. So my plan for this cash transfer is to build a big house and pay my children to school fees with whatsoever GiveDirectly is going to give me.""
