"I am a widow and mother of six children who depends on a subsistence farming to survive. In early December 2021, I lost my husband James Farley, which has resulted to our house being uncompleted. The payment of school fees for our children is so difficult to forfill nowadays. I have been thinking to complete my house with the availability of needed resources for said project. I have also been planning to establish a little business to keep my children in school thereby accurately paying their school fees. Having been opportune to receive the unconditional cash transfer from GiveDirectly, I will use 30% of the transfer to complete my house and 20% of the amount to pay my children areal while the balance 50% will be used to establish a business ."

"This is one a time opportunity I've been longing for my whole life. My late father left my siblings and I with a four lots of land for just farming. My elder brother and I have been farming on the land for ages now but yet had not been unable to raise enough money for my family and I. My wife Darling girl is having some disability and mental challenge, unable to send my remaining three children to school because of low incomes form the crops I sell. With the cash transfer from Give Directly I'm going use part of the money to firstly send my remaining three children to school, send potion of it to my first son guidance for his tuiation and use the remaining money to build another house for rent."

"Throughout my life I have been living in a house built with mud and thatched on roof with my spouse. Every rainy season has been a nightmare for me because of the many leakages on the roof of my house. I am now a display in my Sister-in-law (Precious Nyepan) house because my house is delapetated and is under renovation. My spouse and I along with our children have always faced perpetual challenges with moving our belongings from one side of the house to another coners during rainy season because of the leakages . This difficult condition of living in a delapetated structure has ruin my life that I always felt I am not important in society . And this is my main challenge did face since my spouse and I got together about 22 years now ."

""I would use portion of the Cash Transfer to start dry fish business in the quarter I'm staying in because, no one sells it and its essential. The reason I'm thinking of such is because when I use the money it won't produce more money. Therefore, I'd rather have it invested in business. In addition to the fish, I'll also include some spice like pepper and vita because people buy them almost everyday.""

"Food is an important issue for us because, the more efforts we put into our farm, the less products we gather in that; the ground hug keeps destroying the crops. This results to insufficient crops to sell and to even eat as a family. The health system in our country puts us in a very challenging situation because, hospitals claim to offer free health services but when you go there, you're told to purchase your own drugs. With our already low income from the insufficient crops that our farm produces, it's even more difficult to cater to our health needs because our primary focus is always on food when we have small money.""

"My father built a house when we were much younger and he had been managing to renovate it in a more decent way until he died February 10 2018. It was my father's wish to see us living in his dream house even though he never had the money to build it but he managed to leafe us in a mud and stick house roof with zinc. During our childhood days, a heavy storm lifted the roof of our house and since then it had been our greatest challenge during the raining season. With this cash transfer from Give Directly I'm going to make sure to renovate the house my father left with us. I'm also going to use potion of the money in taking good care of my mother who is at the age of (82years) use the remaining money for a business. For I known the profits from the business I will be enough to send my children to school."

"My major challenges are lack of finances. I have to cut palm nut and make palm oil and sell before I can support my family. It has been my plan to build a house, but the proceed from the palm oil cannot even buy zinc nor other building materials. Moreover, the proceed from the palm oil is what i use to carter to my family daily needs including food and school fees for my children. Sometimes i have to do contract to get money to take care of medical bills whenever any of the family members get sick. The little business i am planning to establish when i receive my cash transfer will bring some relief."
