What does receiving this money mean to you?
"My husband and myself have already been planning to change the palpus to zinc over our house roof because it's only temporary. The maximun length of time of the palpus is five years. Therefore, I'm so grateful to be receiving Give Directly Cash Transfer to have us achieving this goal! The next thing that is on our mind as a family is to enlargen our farm by purchasing 10 acres of land in addition to the three acres we already have. Two of our four children aren't attending school currently due to our low income. So, the last thing we'll invest our money in would be towards the children's education for theirs and ours betterment."
What is the happiest part of your day?
"For me, nothing in particular has brought joy or happiness to me in recent time aside from the fact that I'm alive every other morning! The economy situation in our country is beyond challenging. So, the life we are living is not even befitting for humans because it's just from hand to mouth. Somedays we have a little food to carry us through and almost every other day we're worried about how to go about the day."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Food is an important issue for us because, the more efforts we put into our farm, the less products we gather in that; the ground hug keeps destroying the crops. This results to insufficient crops to sell and to even eat as a family. The health system in our country puts us in a very challenging situation because, hospitals claim to offer free health services but when you go there, you're told to purchase your own drugs. With our already low income from the insufficient crops that our farm produces, it's even more difficult to cater to our health needs because our primary focus is always on food when we have small money."
