"I do not have any source of income at the moment. This has been weighing me down a lot. The same reason our plans as a family can't even materialize. My husband makes only 1000 KES daily whenever he has a job, being a casual labuoror in construction sites. But still you can't tell when is the next job. This way we can not fully depend on his earning."

"I am more than happy having been enrolled into the GD program, I believe that through this program, I will be able to construct a new house since the one I currently have is mud built and is grass thatched which makes it prone to falling during heavy rains. That alone worries me big time."

"My main aim has been my children going to school so they can have a bright future. My oldest child who is 17 years old used to attend a very strict and good boarding school but since we had no much money I was unable to continue paying his school fees. He went to a day school which he quit after a while of having so many disciplinary issues. I had been unable to take him back to a school where he would be able to study such as the first school he was in and had promised myself when I get money that would be able to pay for the school feed of such a school I would do so. I am so happy now that my son is back to school. I am able to send small amounts of money whenever I make any money which will help him complete his primary school education."

"I have three children who are in primary school. Their education is my priority at the moment. I want to reach a point where I can easily pay school three terms prior and not be worried anytime schools open. We have been struggling to pay their school fees since I depend on my husband's income who is a casual worker. What he manages to earn we use to buy food and what is left can then cater to school fees arrears."

"Having known that the transfers were to be used on things that would better my life I decided to use my transfer and focus on the house construction. Biulding my house I knew would take a huge load of posts. This included the posts for the lower part of the house and the roofing of the house. I spent my first transfer on getting posts for the lower part of the house which went for 40,000 shillings and the upper part of the house took 10,000 shillings. The rest of the money went into sorting out my food needs. My second transfer went into buying roofing sheets. I bought 30 roofing sheets at 1,150 shillings which totalled to 34,500. 12,000.shillings went into paying the construction workers which included those responsible for cutting the posts into usable sizes. I also added more posts as it seemed those available could not achieve the intended target with the construction. I wasn't left with any money but my house has come to completion. I was unable to do anything on the wife front."

"Financial constraints act as the biggest challenge we are facing as a family. Imagine struggling to educate your children and eventually seeing them struggle to survive after completing their studies? My daughter is stressed up because she has never been employed and has not managed to start up a business after completing her studies. She is a tailor by profession, but we have no capital for funding her dream business. Also, my eldest son has not joined college to further his studies because we do not have the needed funds. These pain me a lot."

"I have never had peace since my daughter became sick about three years ago. Although she is has improved a lot healthwise, she is yet to get fully healed. I wish I could get the needed money to seek medication from a better hospital. Even so, I believe that God will heal her."
