What does receiving this money mean to you?
I have three children who are in primary school. Their education is my priority at the moment. I want to reach a point where I can easily pay school three terms prior and not be worried anytime schools open. We have been struggling to pay their school fees since I depend on my husband's income who is a casual worker. What he manages to earn we use to buy food and what is left can then cater to school fees arrears.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In October I was blessed to host my parents for the first time since I was married. I saw it as a miracle when they arrived. Usually, it is the daughters who visit the parents once they get married but they took the step to come to see my inlaws and where I now call home. It was a great day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My main challenge has been trying to make ends meet with the high cost of living. I am a farmer and the past three seasons have been difficult since I have had no produce. We buy everything we need from the shops. This has made life very costly. Every time I go to the shop to buy a bag of flour it gets to me considering that I am a maize farmer and I could have easily accessed this from my farm without buying it.
