"I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I shall have fixed an iron sheet roof and replace the grassed that one by buying building materials every month with the sent transfer. This is because at the moment the leaky grass-thatched roof of my house is in a deplorable condition which has made it risky for our habitation. I also will have paid school fees for my children."

"In the next six months, I will have set aside a kitty for my children's school fees which I will be adding to it every time I receive my transfers. I also will have bought livestock for rearing and a way of investing for the future. This has been a dream ever since but resources couldn't allow me to proceed with the investment."

"My life is different from how it could have been if I never received the money in that, my children could maybe be staying at home due to lack of money to pay their school fees. I am glad that the transfer helped me offset the amount that was needed and they are now settled in school. I also have goats which I count as my future assets. Expanding my business using the transfer was a major step since my income has improved which has enabled me to meet my needs with ease."

"The financial help from GiveDirectly form has empowered me to construct a semi-permanent house that I am currently sheltering on. It has been my wish to sleep in a decent house for years but then I could not afford it. My previous house was just a small round hut that has no rooms with some grass-thatched roofing. This hut could not fit all my family members and this made some of my children live with my relatives which personally I was comfortable with as a parent. I never had time for my children at all because we only meet when taking meals then they leave for the relatives for shelter. Having have received the money I gave the issue of the house the first priority. Currently, we are living happily as a family under one roof. This is what I have been desired for long. Had it not for GiveDirectly coming to my village I don't think if I would have achieved all these."

"In the next six months, I plan to use the transfers to boost my business with the aim of stabilising it. Every month, I will take part of my transfers to add more stock to the business. My goal is to make the business stable so that I can no longer rely on the transfers to boost the business. I want to get to a poiunt5 where the business alone will generate enough income to sustain it as well as catering for my family needs. I would not want to go back to the struggles I used to have before the transfers."

"My life is currently different because through this money , I have managed to buy enough building materials in order to build a new house to live with my family. Raising school fees for my children was also a problem. I couldn't pay for them on time and they were frequently sent home because of this. I am grateful because I have paid for them on time and they were allowed back to school. I also have a pair of oxen to help me in doing farming for a better harvest. I used to hire from neighbours during the planting season. I am glad that I won't be hiring from anyone, instead I will be hiring to them at a fee."
