Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to save money and pay school fees for my children so that they will be able to pursue their dream without any interference. I also plan to construct a better house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Previously, my children used to be sent home for school fees frequently. This affected their performances but I had no option because my casual job was not generating adequate income. Upon receiving this transfer the biggest difference in my daily life is that I was able to settle the school fees arrears and now my children are confidently going to school with no worries of being sent home for school fees and their performance has improved so well.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I shall have fixed an iron sheet roof and replace the grassed that one by buying building materials every month with the sent transfer. This is because at the moment the leaky grass-thatched roof of my house is in a deplorable condition which has made it risky for our habitation. I also will have paid school fees for my children.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My plan is to start buying new building materials in order to get a new house within the next five or so months. I have a plan of buying at least two new iron sheets every single month so that by the time the four months elapse then I will have accumulated enough materials that will enable me to complete the project in a good time.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I can say that the biggest difference I have seen by getting the transfers is that I have been able to take care of school fees budgets with utmost ease as compared to how I used to struggle so much. Currently, all the transfers go directly to the school fees kitty which makes it easy for the kids to attend classes on a rolling basis without having the worries of being sent home due to school fees arrears.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My life will change in the near future because I have always had this burning desire to have my own house and my own home away from my fathers compound but then due to financial distress, life has never given me such an opportunity, so this time through the transfers that I will be getting, I know the dream will become a reality.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Receiving the GD transfers relieved me of a lot of the challenges that I used to face previously while farming. This is because I was able to purchase both improved seeds and fertilizer which I used while planting on time without straining financially. In addition to that, through the previous transfers, I was able to clear my children's school fee on time giving them ample time for their studies.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Currently, I do not a cow and I have always considered cows to be beneficial because they help in plowing and at the same time they are sources of milk. For the next four months of my life, I have an additional goal of saving the coming transfer so that I can use it to purchase a cow.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The past four months have been farming seasons and I'm glad I didn't face challenges in the whole farming process. This is because I was able to use the GD transfers to purchase both fertilizer and improved seeds.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months of my life, I hope I will have bought both oxen and cows for rearing. I'm hopeful with time I won't hire people to plough my farm because by then I'll be having oxen to plough my farm. This will save me the cost of hiring someone to plough the farm. In addition, I won't budget for milk anymore because after they will have given birth I'll have enough milk for the family.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
We can easily access money as we receive monthly transfers from GiveDirectly. It has brought peace between me and wife. The constant quarrels have now toned down as everyone has their own money and can use however we please.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to save and start up a business for my wife who is just a housewife. I would wish to elevate my wife to a level where she can also be able to get some form of income for family upkeep.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I saved the transfers and bought a cow for rearing. I have always wanted to be all round farmer. Livestock rearing and farming is my livelihood because I get to generate income for my family. GiveDirectly has enabled to fulfil my dream. I have been using these transfers to buy various livestock i.e. cow, sheep and goat for rearing as financial security for my family.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
After saving these transfers and starting a business for my wife in order for her to earn some income, my next project will be to save and buy building materials i.e iron sheets, poles, timber and nails to build a new house. I still live in my father's compound and this has restricted me from doing a lot of things. I need the freedom of waking up in my own home.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Apart from having to pay school fees in time, my family have good and new clothing. We have always had torn and old clothes and anytime we go for a journey or to church, I would be embarrassed because of the state of our clothes. Ever since I started receiving these transfers, I have been able to buy new clothes and I feel very happy because I am not ashamed anymore of my clothing when I am with my friends or even in church. I feel very comfortable in them.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buy building materials like iron sheets, nails and timber. I would use them to put up a new house in my own home. According to our culture, I should be having my own home by now because I am the first born and I have to set an example to my younger siblings. I would want to lead in the best way.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life since I started receiving this transfer is that I have been able to pay school fees for my children. I have been struggling to raise money for paying for my children because I would hardly get enough to even feed my family from casual work. My children would be sent home regularly and this really affected their performance. I am very happy because I was able to reduce their balance at school and rarely are they sent home for school fees. I know their performance will improve now that they have good study time.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I would want to buy a cow. This is the kind of investment I have always wanted in my life. I have never had one due to my low income from casual work. I will take care of my goat which I bought with part of the transfers and when it reproduces, I will sell them to buy a cow. I know my dream of having herds of cattle will come to pass through the one I will buy.
