"The biggest hardship in my life is that i have a sick member of the family. Last December she was operated which took a lot of money. Since then she has not been well and i have to take care of her hence i cannot look for a job. I even had to sell cows that i had to pay for the hospital bill."

"Now that I am living in a single grass touched house, I will build an iron sheet house with about $400, start poultry farming with about $200, pay school fees with &200, set $100 for food and clothing and save the remaining $100. I rely on casual jobs which earns me little that cannot enable me to develop and sustain myself."

"Financial instability is the biggest hardship that I have ever faced in my life. This is because I am doing causal work that earns me only $3 per day. Due to this, I have been struggling to provide for my family and sometimes I fail to put food on the table. This has ashamed me for a long time something that has turned me into a laughing stock in the community."

"Food insecurity has been a challenge to my household. My husband is a palm wine tapper while I do household chores. The income from his job is very minimal, usually, $5 per week, and this cannot sustain us. Seeking help from my relatives has been always the case and this gives me the feeling of shame. Therefore, I consider food insecurity as the biggest hardship that I have ever faced in my life."

"My ambition is to own a motorcycle. I used to ride someone elses motorcycle for one year but for the last 4 months i stopped because it had mechanical problems.i now do casual jobs to sustain my family needs which is not enough as it is on and off and earns only $2 in a day. Also my 2 children are still young and they do not get enough milk for consumption.Purchasing a second hand motorcycle with $700 would be so helpful because i will earn a living from it.Then i would buy 2 dairy cows at 200$ each which would mean enough milk for my children."

"I live in a small grass thatched house with a family of seven. This means that my elder daughter has to seek shelter at the neighbor's at night. Any parent would be concerned about that. Receiving this money means a reasonable and descent shelter for my family. In order to achieve this dream, I will need to have 50000. Money that I have not been able to earn or save from the casual labour work that my husband and I engage in."

"The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is my children's poor health. The place I used to live was quite cold, which made my children diagnosed with pneumonia hence frequenting hospital on and off for a span of 5 years. This made me sell most of my assets to pay for hospital bills. Over the years I wasn't able to save or improve my family's livelihood as a result of this."
