"GiveDirectly helps us realize our dreams by providing support. The vast majority of us in the community have been able to advance in life, and we are no longer where we were a few months ago. Through its employees, the organization conducted itself in an ethical and professional manner."

"From the first transfer, I had started constructing a spacious house because the one I had was very small and congested. Since I used the transfer for other things as well, I was unable to complete the construction. When I got the second one, I prioritized completing the house. As of now, the house is complete and I am happy for living in a decent, spacious, iron sheet-roofed house. Since water was scarce in our area and we had to travel long distances to fetch, I decided to apply for new water connection at my home. The movements tp the government water offices was hectic for me since I am old. I entrusted my son to work on that assignment and I am pleased he did it perfectly. Currently, I have running fresh water tap at my home courtesy of GiveDirectly. I also bought some foodstuff using the remaing amount."

"I believe GiveDirectly performed admirably throughout my entire village because the officers went to every home and enrolled everyone without discrimination. It was also the best since it taught most of us how to handle money sensibly. We were taught how to spend money according to our desires. I consequently do not identify any areas where GiveDirectly fell short."

"Now, my biggest priority is making sure my university son can comfortably complete his coursework. He is currently in his first year, and with any luck, he will have a comfortable four years on campus because to the efforts I make. To do this, I have been putting aside money from some occasional side job that I perform at one of the financial institutions in order to see his goal realized."

"The transfers came as a huge enabler to me and my family. We were insufficient in terms of milk production. We had always wanted to purchase a dairy cow but we did not have the means. When we got the transfers we used them to purchase a dairy cow worth KES 30000 at Chebunyo market, true to our intention it has assisted us in terms of milk productivity. Now we have enough for our daily consumption and surplus that we sell and use the proceeds to pay school fees. This has eased our lives and we are so elated about this."

"I aspire to venture into serious dairy farming. I intend to build a dairy house and keep high-quality breeds in a zero-grazing setup that is high on milk productivity. I visited a friend who has succeeded in the venture and he is doing good, I need to replicate the same on my farm. This will enable us to be self-sufficient in milk productivity for consumption and for sale to earn a disposable income."

"GiveDirectly is a unique NGO, unlike others. The aspect of unconditionality and the transfers being a grant is so amazing and humbling. I have never seen something like that before in my life. The organization does well in transferring funds in two tranches and following it up to ensure that people receive the money. They actually want to transform lives and they have made significant progress."

"We had always wanted to have a decent house but it had just remained a dream since we never had the means. The house we used to live in was grass thatched and it was in a bad state and not conducive to living in. We were so delighted when we received the transfers, and without hesitating, we used the entire amount to build a timber-walled, iron-roofed house. We are happy that we now own a better house though we are yet to finish work on it we have since occupied it and we are so happy about it, we have since gotten a new status."

"I plan to build a better house since the one I have at the moment is old and dilapidated. It is not conducive to living in. When it rains it gives me and my family a lot of trouble since it lets water in and so it becomes cold and when there is intense heat sun during the day it is extremely hot. So it is not conducive to living in it. My main aspiration, therefore, is to be able to look for finances to enable me to realize the dream of having a better house."
