"I am hoping that before the year ends, when I receive some money I look after my husband's health because he's still recuperating. Apart from that, I also intend on focusing your nutrition since it is a recurring challenge after me and my family."

"I spent $300 on clearing the balances for the land I bought using the first transfer. I am so happy because now I own the land fully. I lived with my parents and I had always wished to purchase my own land. This was not easy because I do not have a continuous source of income. I depend on casual jobs to earn some money. The money I get through this is so small and it is only for basic household needs. I am so grateful because I live separately and this had given me a piece of mind to do farming. I spent $200 on purchasing a heifer, I always buy milk and this is so costly for me, When it reproduces in the next few months I will cut the daily cost of buying milk. The rest of the money I spent on food and household items that we were lacking at home."

Kalume
received a $421 second payment.
"I spent $150 of the recent to purchase 5 goats a future investment for the family. Previously, I was depending on crop farming which has been greatly affected by climate change. I had desired to venture into goat rearing as an alternative since they are profitable and easy to raise compared to cattle that are greatly affected by drought. Furthermore, I used $204 to purchase proper modern bedding for a family of 12 children. This is because we had been sleeping on the floor using mats which were uncomfortable. Lastly, I spent the remaining amount constructing a decent house for my kids. They were spending their night in a small-grass thatched house that was leaking."

Dama
received a $436 second payment.
"My goal is to continue seeking proper medical care for my spouse who needs to undergo an operation this year. I intend to sell some livestock to get his medication. This will restore the happiness that we had been missing for many years. In addition, I need to purchase another water tank that will enable me to store enough water for sell to the neighbour to earn an additional income."

Fredrick
received a $28 fourteenth payment.
"This year, my primary focus is repaying for the motorcycle I purchased on credit. Making full repayment will be a relief to my family and me. However, since my current house is small and leaky, I want to build a new, spacious one. Therefore, once I have paid off the motorcycle, my primary focus will be saving for building materials. A new house will equally serve my family well, and none of the children will have to face the challenges of walking at night to go and spend in the neighborhood."

Lavenda
received a sixth payment.
"Since I got married, I have lived in a makuti-roofed house. However, regular roof maintenance is always costly. As a result, when the new year began, I set a goal of constructing a new 30 iron-sheet roofed house. I know that type of a house will comfortably accommodate my family, and there will be no need for regular roof repairs. My children's bedroom will be an additional room in the new house. I would not like to see them walking around at night to sleep in the neighborhood. In addition, I would consider purchasing additional goats to supplement my income in the future."

Sanita
received a $28 sixth payment.
"I was worried about how I would be paying my children's school fees. Whatever income I have been making from charcoal sales has always been insufficient to meet our nutritional needs. I struggle to raise school fees for my seven children. They are a number, and we do not have a consistent source of income. With the current security of my monthly income, I have set a goal of diverting most of my monthly transfers to pay for my children's school fees. I believe this will help them advance in their studies. I am glad they are doing well in school currently."

Selina
received a $421 second payment.
"I was struggling with the high cost of living at the same time I had to buy expensive milk for my family. Milk price was exorbitant now that it was scarce. A liter would retail at KES 50 and my family would require up to 2 liters of milk a day. The only way out was to produce milk for domestic use. I budgeted KES 40000 for my transfer and bought a lactating cow. I am now proud that we are no longer incurring this cost."
