"I used my cash on paying school fees. I thought this was the best way to use this cash since I did not have money to pay fees for my children. I also ventured into a business of selling clothes. I buy two bales every two weeks and I can say that my business is on the right track."

Jackline
received a $480 third payment.
"The best way I could use the last cash transfer was to buy a cow and two goats. I thought this could be a good investment because the cows and goats would eventually give birth and I would benefit from getting milk and probably selling out the livestock in exchange of cash."

Susan
received a $477 third payment.
"I spent most of my third transfer on purchasing seven sets of seats because I only had one hence whenever I had more visitors, I could borrow from my neighbors who could sometimes demand that I return the seats when the visitors were around which was embarrasing. I also cleared fee balance for my child and used part of it on labour for the six people who were helping out in the farm and I can say that I managed to pay them easily without taking a loan. The remaining amount went on food for the family's consumption and buying more clothes."

"I bought a motor bike for my husband worth 95,000 KES though he added more money because my third transfer was less than the money we required. My husband used to hire motor bike at a fee but it was very stressing because at the end of the day he could get so little from it.I am very happy we have our own motor bike and it give us a good return daily that can support our family financially."
