"I have a young family that solely depend on me. I have been regularly purchasing milk from my neighbours for domestic use. I intend to use 600USD to buy two dairy cattle so as to supplement my family with milk for both domestic and commercial use. I will then sell the surplus milk to our local dairy shop in the nearby market center. Additionally, I will use the remaining transfer to renovate and furnish my house that is nearing completion."

"Charcoal burning is the source of income that I have ever depended on, a job that is energy draining and low paying. Currently, I find myself so weak and my efforts to do this job is limited that, I usually make 5 sacks per month which I sell at $5 only. This income is very low and can not fully support my family's basic needs; hence, financial instability is generally the biggest hardship that I have ever faced in my life."

"I am a parent who attaches so much value to the education of my children. I did not get the chance to go to school during my time and that is why I want to give my children the best. I have 5 children who are in various schools, 3 in college and 2 in high school. Having them all in school at the same time is very expensive. I pay a total of 130000 shillings for those in college and 25000 shillings for the ones in high school every single term. Raising that kind of money has never been easy. I am always forced to take loans from various financial institutions which are very costly to repay because of high-interest rates. At the moment, I have an active loan of 50000 shillings at Equity Bank. Receiving this money will be a big sigh of relief to me as it will help me clear my outstanding loan."

""Coming from a polygamous family and the only bread winner becomes a big challenge. I rely on burning charcoal this job is tiresome and earns me 400 shillings in a day. This amount is not enough to cater for all our basic needs e.g food. Lack of a good source of income becomes my biggest hardship.""
