How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now because am able to build a good house, as compared to the past where i never had enough money that i can use to build a house hence i was staying in a grass thatched poorly built house. I am also able to provide enough food for my family which was very difficult in the past.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
i feel like the whole process from identifying a recipient to receiving our transfers is done perfectly well
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
when i received my second transfer i bought bricks which will be used to build my house. secondly i bought food because we did not have enough food at home the remaining amount was used to buy clothes and other basic needs.

I felt joy and relieved that some of the problems requiring money such food have now been solved

I no longer do piece works to find money for food , now i have enough time to spend at my field

I have spent the transfer on iron sheets 2 bags of maize, 4 female goats , mattress and groceries.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
The program is really great. I have so many problems. The money will be used to build a nice house, buy some clothes for my children and have enough food.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Am a happy person mostly during Eid.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have been lacking financies to support my household
