"Receiving this money will help me to build a decent house as the one I currently live in is small and not proper. It badly leaks during heavy rains which makes living in it very uncomfortable . I would also want to buy a mattress, some clothes and food items"

"I spend part of the money I received from GiveDirectly to settle the debts. I bought a piece of land from my neighbor using the first transfer and I had not completed paying all the total cost. I used part of the second transfer to clear it. I am so happy because I no longer feel stressed up on how to clear the debts The remaining amount I used it to buy a dairy cow. I used to buy milk and it was so costly for me since I do not have a continuous source of income. Currently this cost had been cut off because I have enough milk for my family."

"In my opinion GiveDirectly does well by giving money to the poor in the community to build better houses and to buy dairy cows. I do not find anything that GiveDirectly did not do well."

"My life hasn't been easy but what hasn't been easy I was diagnosed as an epileptic in my your days and this affected my livelihood. I could not do hard labour and even carpentry was not easy, I would fall sick on jobs and this affected my income. On top of that my wife had fertility issues, we lived for long and never had children of our own. She left and after almost 10 years I had to accept, move on and file for a divorce. But with God's grace I am now fully healed and accepted that the past can not be changed."

"I spent 400 USD of my second transfer on building a shop in my plot. I have always desired to start a shop business because I find it one of the most profitable ventures in our area. Unfortunately, I had no resources to lease or build a shop. Currently, I have the building but no stock. Also, I used the remaining funds (about 130 USD) on small-scale farming by planting some tomatoes for sale. This will probably earn me substantial income for purchasing some stock for the shop."

"I am an old woman who leaves with a grand daughter, we, as you can see have been trying to mend our house year after year so it could look like a home, but our income could not allow us to have full iron sheets house. All we have is this big space all around. seeing this opportunity means I will be able to use the funds renovate if not just build a bigger beautiful home with bed and mattress inside, that is what my heart long desires. Life is not all about breathing but leaving I as well. I will also buy fertilizer for my small vegetable farm..."

"I spent 300 USD of the second on educating my 3 school-going children. I was worried about how to clear arrears that had accrued since our firstborn joined secondary school. I could easily manage to pay school fees on time when they were in primary school. Also, I utilized the remaining amount (approximately 200 USD) on purchasing a cow as an investment to ensure our future is financially safe. Since I have the required resources for rearing livestock, I thought it would be wise to acquire the cow. It will multiply and expand our wealth."

"This money even though I have not received yet but the hope it self brings light to my new days to come. You see I started building my small house a year ago and still it is yet to be finished, that will be the primary goal for the fund. I will use part of it to extend my business and buy bed and mattress"
