How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed for the better. I managed to buy food with the money such that I have enough for the year. I will also have a nice house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I feel like GD covers a number of recipients than other NGOs. The money we receive is also enough to do a lot of things.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My main focus is to build a house. When I received my transfer, I bought bricks, some bags of cement and I have also saved some money to pay builders. I also bought food and some clothes.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money will help me to build a decent house as the one I currently live in is small and not proper. It badly leaks during heavy rains which makes living in it very uncomfortable . I would also want to buy a mattress, some clothes and food items
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest whenever I can afford to share a nice meal with my grandchildren
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I lack money for food as well as for fertilizers since I am am old woman and cannot manage to do some casual labour to earn some money
