"Building a new spacious house is the biggest difference in my daily life so far. My previous house was not spacious enough to accommodate my children. If I was to save for the purpose of building a new home, it would have taken years to achieve this. Doing menial jobs has been the main source of income which only catered for the basic needs like food. My children also used to seek shelter from neighbours which even affected their academic performance, since they were not free like their counterparts. Through the support, I managed to construct a decent iron roofed house which can now accommodate all of us. I am grateful to GiveDirectly for this achievement. My children are now studying comfortably unlike before."

"If I'm successful to receive Give Directly Cash transfer I will use some of the money to reconditioned my house and use the balance to go back to school.Even though I make farm to Carter for my family, but the money I earned from the farm is what I spend on food.I am currently in the 11th grade ,I dropped From school 5 years ago because the school that was in the village, that I could afford to attend shot down due to unpaid teachers salary. The structure I live in is made of mud and the zinc is very old. When the rain starts to fall, the structure begins to lack and it damaged some of my household belongings.I want to buy new zinc to roof my house and go back to school but there's no money. If I received this money I will roof my house with new zinc and go back to school."

"If I am successful to receive the cash transfer, I will spend it to pay my school fees. My spouse has been paying my fees, but now things are hard on him. And the cassava pitch too I have been making to help pay the fees has not been producing good yield. Especially like this year, I planted my cassava lately. And when that happens, the cassava does not produce good yield. With this situation, I have really been wondering how to pay my fees. So if this promised from GD becomes true, it will be a huge opportunity for."

"If I am bless to receive money from Givedirectly, I want to use it for my children school and the remaining for business so that I can be able to help my husband. My husband is married to two women and that he is not doing any perminant job to support all of the children from the two women. So, if I start a business it will be able to give me enough profits to provide additional support for the children school and even buy food for the family. Also, the small cassava farm is not enough to feed the entire house. If Givedirectly give me any money, I will really really be grateful for their assistance."

"The major challenge here is money and food. But for me, the main one is the shortage of food. Because if I have money, I will buy food. Tthe coal I produce to sell and have money, the price has dropped. Besides that, the coal work is very hard. Due to that, I am not able to produce more of that for sale."

"The main challenge for us here is how to raise money to implement the plans we just mentioned to you. Although we make cassava farm and produce coal to sale and support our home and planes as mentioned. However, those items are not earning us much money these days. Like the fufu, when we fixed it and take it to the market, they don't buy it. Even if they buy it, they don't pay good money for it. As the result, we spent more to produce the fufu, but realised less money after the sale. So this makes money business a challenge here because with out money, we will not be able to better our lives."

"It was around 9 o'clock when I heard my neighbors celebrating, I was anxious about what transpired. One of them approach me and informed me that they heard received the aid from GiveDirectly. Immediately, I heard a message alert on my phone. Being illiterate, I called my relative to check the phone and I was amazed to learn that I had received my transfer. I felt very happy and I informed my spouse who was in the house. We jointly celebrated and thank GiveDirectly for fulfilling their promises."
