How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes. I've have been living in my sister in law house with my children. I decided to build my house with my transfer from GiveDirectly. I have seven children and at times my in law fuss with me. It had been really embarrassing for me. People in my home thought that I and my husband are unserious. We have been suffering with farming and couldn't afford to raised this huge amount of money to build our house. GiveDirectly have taken shame from my family.

GiveDirectly give us money to stop poverty in our lives. Their staff don't frown faces on us. I'm always happy when I see GiveDirectly workers in my town.

Yes, I had a major goal set in my life was to build my own house.But unfortunately for me and due to poor financial difficulties I was unable to do a building project.But with the support of GiveDirectly with ny both payments I for see my dreams coming to reality as u can see my project on going.I just to appreciate GiveDirectly for their kind support towards me and my family

I just want to exstand my appreciation to Give Directly for their kindness for giving us money to improve our livelihood.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was excited! When i saw my massage from GiveDirectly.I was happy and started dancing because I received such amount of money free that I didn't suffer for. I am a farmer and been having difficulties in my life. My crops didn't yield this year and animals ate and damage a lot of my crops. My house broke down because of heavy storm and I've been living in a family house with my children. This has been an embarrassing situation for my children and I. There are lot of challenges in living with family members.This money is going to help me build my house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is happiness. I have been suffering previously but now I am having peace of mind. I now have money to do things for I and my children. I am able to own things that I never had before. Farming and selling the crops from my harvest has been the only source of my livelihood. Because of the lack of money and high poverty, my children and I been living like slaves in my brother house. I'm grateful to GiveDirectly giving me this money to uplift my life.

Building my house,sending my children to school and improving my business have been my concerns. Therefore,I bought two bundles of zinc,a bag of rice. And I am going to pay my children school fees and add my business money up since I've been selling fish previously.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am qualified for this program and received any money from GiveDirectly I am going to build my house and make business to support my children in school because I never went to school and because of that I am caughting hard time and I don't want my children be like me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months nothing had ever brought joy or happiness to me because I worry every day how to get money, but to hear about GiveDirectly people and the kind of help that they do it's really brought joy in my heart, so I am praying and hoping that I be qualified for this program and receive money to improve my life
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am facing so many challenges but the most important one is money problem, I do not have money to make business and support my children in school, and since my house broke down no money to even build new one now, so for that I am staying in my sister in law house.
