"In my opinion everything that GiveDirectly is doing it is doing well. Every household was able to recieve the help because all the process were clear. The Feild officers visited all the household and this is something very good. There is nothing that GiveDirectly did not do well."

"The financial crisis is the biggest hardship that I have ever faced in my life. This has forced me to engage in charcoal work to earn income to support my children's education. Considering the earnings which are very low mostly KES 5000 per month, it can not fully cater for their school fees as well as to support all our basic needs like food. This has worried me for a long time."

"I am very excited to be enrolled in this program by GiveDirectly. I will use this money to build a house. I think building a house is very important because a house will last a long time. I will also use some of the money to buy utensils for my house."

"The main challenge that I face is that I do not have enough money. I depend on piece work in order to make money and the money that I earn is not enough. I also face the challenge of not having enough food because I do not earn a lot of money."

"As far as am concerned GiveDirectly works very well. I was very pleased when i found out you enroll by yourself in your programmes. Most organisations use third parties which leads to a few people rec3iving what was meant to be given to them. Givedirectly does a better job at making sure the right people are enrolled"

"To be honest I do not meet any major challenges in my life. As you can see I have a shop which helps me a lot to earn money that I use to support my family. To say that I have any challenges would be a lie."

"I do not have a house of my own, the house that i currently live in belongs to my daughter who is at work in South Africa. The house she built is not finished, it is not plastered and it does not have windows.
When i recieved my transfer, i saw it fit to complete this house and also build another house so that as a family we have two houses. I am doing this because i want to leave behind houses for my grandchildren as i am old. I do not want them to struggle in the future."
