How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I will now have a house. I will be able to rebuild my house with this transfer. My house fell down and because of lack of money we have been living in a house made from thatched grass. This is the biggest difference in my life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Everyone in the village was able to benefit from the programme. This is something that GiveDirectly did well and in my opinion there is nothing that GiveDirectly did not do well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
As a family we do not have a house and are currently living in house made from thatched grass. The house we had fell down last year and we have been living in here since then. With my transfer, i want to rebuild my house. I have manged to buy materials such as bricks, iron sheets, timber, nails and also paid the builders for the work.
I spared some of the money to pay school fees for 2 of my children who are in secondary school. My children dropped out last year because i could not afford their school fees.
