""Those challenges we are faced with are, "One", hustling for food is very difficult, in the sense that, we don't have rice farm, so we normally purchase rice by bag, and this happens through the little money we generate from the burning of charcoal/fire coal, and cassava produce. "Two", raising money to fulfill my dream (Buying land in Monrovia to build a house) had been another challenge for me, reason being, I and my husband have lot of mouths to feed, the money we can gather from our farming activities, and the burning of charcoal is very small, it normally goes behind feeding and supporting the children in school; nothing much can be left to save in other to fulfill my dream.""

""What I plan to do with my cash transfer are, firstly, to attend to my children's education, reason being, education comes first in life, when you educate your children they can become somebody in the feature that will help you, secondly, I want to invest into fish business, because fish market can really sell in our area; investing into business will actually help the family to stand financially, thirdly, I will invest into farming by purchasing different plants' seeds, this will help us sustain our home.""

"The biggest hardship I am facing is that I sometimes lcl food in my house. This is because to find money I have to go to the mountain to get firewood for sale. But since I'm pregnant now, and have a limp when I walk, I have been unable to be as productive as I used to be since my leg gives me problems and is painful. This means I won't make any money and my house won't have food."

"My biggest hardship facing me currently is the lack of money to build my own house and continue to pay my daughter's tuition fees. Though I burn charcoal but the money I earned is what I used to cater to other family challenges such as food and buy the other two children school materials that are attending Bowein elementary school. The money earned from charcoal selling is not enough to buy zinc and other building materials to start the construction of my new house. Therefore I will appreciate any assistance given to me by GiveDirectly to improve my livelihood."

""What I have planned to do with the cash transfer is to build my own house. My spouse and I have been separated for about 5 years now; when we were together, all I ever wanted was my own place but that dream didn't come to reality and we have separated. I have been living in a family house since I became a woman, presently I still live there. I need a place of my own to remove the shame". It is not a good thing to have been married and still live in your family house"."

"If I'm successful to receive the transfer I will use some to reconditioned my house and used the balance to provide food for my family. I am currently engaged in making farm so as to earn some income but the farm work is very difficult for me now, due to my age I don't have the strength to make a large farm. My farm used to produced ten bags of cassava daily of which I could sell ten bags a day that was enough to buy food for my family. Now the income from my farm is very minimum usually 2 bags per day and that cannot substain my family. More besides the structure I lived in the wall is made of mud and the roof is old. When the rain starts to fall it damaged most of my belongings. I want to buy zinc to roof my house, but there's no money."

"If we are successful to receive the cash transfer, we will send all our children to school. Although some of them been going to school, however, it was one NGO called Lipa ( second chance) that was helping to pay their fees . But the NGO has decided not to continue due to lack of funding according to them. The production of coal we do here too to send them to school is a very difficult work that can't give us enough money to implement our plans. So if we are successful to receive the cash, it will be a huge help for us. The reason we have planned to keep sending our children to school is because when they are educated, they will take care of us when we are old."
