This will help me re roof my house. With the help of GD, I was able to pay my daughter's tuition who has just reached the age for school. I have also planned to purchase a piece of land in Monrovia for future use. However, I want to be geeatful to GD for these achievement."

"My husband ( Anthony Tugbo) was injected in his dream that has led to his benig disabled since February 2020 . Prior to his illness he and I were in a subsistence and cash crops farmings for many years after he graduated from high school in 1981... We built a house with zinc on roof from the proceeds of our farms in which there are two rooms set aside for strangers... Since my husband came down with the illness things have turned so difficult for us because we don't take good care of our crops to produce well like before. Every save we held had been used on his illness and the results are fruitless. I have planned to take him to Jackson F. Doe referral hospital in Nimba County for check up and use some of the unconditional cash transfer from GiveDirectly to hire workers for our coacoa farm ."

"Since I lost my husband in 2016 due to sickness, life has become so difficult for my son and I. The death of my husband caused my son to drop out of school for more than 2 Academic years because I couldn't afford to pay his tuition. For the past 4 years I have been surviving through subsistence farming and assistance from other people. Besides my living place is also in a deplorable condition. If I qualify for GiveDirectly unconditional cash transfer program, I intend to use the money to change the roof over my house and to also establish business which will serve as a permanent source of income for my son and I instead of doing hard labor like subsistence farming and casual labor from years to years."

"The pop-up on my phone displayed just enough information to confirm the receipt of my first transfer. I was very happy with this news as the night before that morning was the hardest for me. We almost slept without the evening meal with my child and in the morning we had exhausted almost all household utilities as my child had to take morning tea that had no sugar. I could not doubt that message as I had been anticipating that within the range of the dates that we were given during enrollment. I had to visit the nearest shopping center where I managed to withdraw and purchase household foodstuff."

"I spent KES 36,000 to purchase a dairy cow. I used to buy milk daily and this was so costly for me because I do not have a continuous source of income. Currently I have cut the cost. I paid school fees for my children in various school and they were able to study well without being sent home. I purchased some iron sheet waiting for the second transfer to start the construction process. I purchased a phone for my son who is yet to join college early next year. The rest of the money I bought food and clothes for my children. I am so grateful for the support because GiveDirectly has changed our living standards."

"The moment I received the transfer I felt so happy. I remember it was around 8am. I was still taking my breakfast. When I heard a ringtone message from my phone. When I checked it out I couldn't believe my eyes. It was a message confirming that I have received KES 55,000 from GiveDirectly. I felt so happy and immediately inform my family members. They all celebrated with lots of joy. I knew I would be able to buy a heifer. We had planned on purchasing a heifer. I went withdrew the money the same day. I am so grateful for support because GiveDirectly has enabled us to own a dairy cow."

"Having been enrolled into the program, my plans are to build a much better looking house as the one I currently live in is small and grass thatched, that it badly leaks during heavy rains making our stay in it very uncomfortable."
