"Receiving this money means that I will invest in to business. I have been doing a produce business in kachubala centre but with little capital. My spouse has since neglected me after getting second wife, so I take care of all my family responsibilities. This has proved difficult because the little savings I get from my business is all spent on providing basic needs to the family. My business is never progressing as expected."

"The biggest hardship that I am faced with is inadequacy of farm land.
The small piece of land that I have is the one I use repeatedly every season.
I am not able to cultivate as I would wish to because of the limitations of space.
The yields of this land are also poor because it is being used all the time.
It does not have time to rest."

"The biggest hardship that I am faced with is sickness.
I have a problem with my waist and some times I am not able to work as I wish because of the pain.
I have to go and do casual labour in order to find money to take care of my medical bills but it is not an easy thing to do."

"The biggest hardship I face is poverty. When I got blind and my spouse abandoned me with all the children. No one supports me in caring for my family needs. Iam therefore forced to make ends meet by digging with the help of a stick. I also use sensory nerves in my hands to separate the weeds and crops. My family lacks sufficient foo to eat and some days I boil orange leaves as tea due to lack of money for buying suger. Also my children have drop out of school since I can not afford Paying their fees. I see they are malnourished with no future for then yet they are bright."

"The biggest hardship that I am faced with is poverty.
I have only a small potion of land which I depend on to produce food that feeds my family.
Being a man who has children, the small piece of land that I have is not able to produce food that can sustain my household needs. It is therefore common for me to do casual labour as a way of trying to supplement on on the little that I am able to harvest.
In most cases, the yields are even not good because the land is over used.
I have always had food shortage in my home and I think I have just lived in the poverty cycle all my life."

"I expect my life to change in the next four months in that I will have bought a heifer and this will give me hope to only concentrate on the school fees for my children. When this heifer starts reproducing, I will be able to sell milk and get some money to use in meeting other household necessities. This will also help me save the money I would otherwise use in buying milk."

"When I receive this money, I will build a 2 bedroom ironsheets house that will help us with good permanent shelter. The house we are in currently is grass thatched of which it is expensive to maintain it in terms of routine thatching. But with the ironsheets roofing, it will be a one off and help us save the money we would have used in buying grass. I will also buy a cow that will help in milk production for us to consume as a family because of our age. If there is any balance, we shall use it for normal upkeep."
