Kitsao
received a $543 initial payment.
"The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now have two dairy cows, which I have been longing to have them for a very long time but I could not afford due to my low income. Through the cows I will be able to get milk which will make us more healthier since it will be a supplement to our daily meals. I am also planning to start a business of selling the milk and the offspring and through this business I will be able to easily pay school fees for my children and cater for other basic needs. I will also be getting some manure from the cows which will help in making my farm more productive."

Michael
received a $23 fifteenth payment.
"In the next six months, I expect to have added a heifer to my herd. I currently have 7 cows, three of them actively producing milk, one almost calving down and the other three are heifers. Milk production has been our main source of income and a plan to increase the herd is really advisable since it will translate to higher milk production thus profit. Most of the cows in my herd have been there even before GIveDirectly came in and at the moment I would wish to bring in one using these transfers so that It will always act as a reminder of how good GiveDIrectly has done to us even after completing the transfers."

Wesily
received a $23 fifteenth payment.
"In the next six months, I expect my life to have changed because with my new project in mind, i.e, sale of tea leaves seedlings, will boost my income. The money I will generate from there will enable me to start a cattle-selling business. By doing this, I will have diversified my income sources and will no longer depend entirely on the GD transfers"

Jenipher
received a $49 seventh payment.
"I paid most of the money I recently received to our table banking group as we had agreed to be doing every month after realizing that we will be receiving our transfers monthly and not in lump sum as we had hoped. Because I have not had a stable job for some time now, I decided to start a small grocery business with the little money I had left and so far, it is really doing well."

Joshua
received a $23 fifteenth payment.
"I hope that in the next six months, I will have constructed a new house in my own home so that I can then give room for my younger brothers to do so as tradition demands. This project has been stressful for me for quite sometime now and completing it will come with a very huge relief and an opportunity for my family to enjoy better things because we will no longer have to squeeze on our daily budget like we currently are."

Jackson
received a $23 fifteenth payment.
"As my child is headed to sit for an examination which is scheduled to take place in November, we are also looking for ways to raise the school fees since she will be joining secondary school. Among the plans that we have and hoping that they will have materialized before December is to establish a zero-grazing unit. We have a plan to sell the bull that we have in four months time and purchase an Artificially inseminated breed of a cow that will be productive in terms of milk. We are glad that we now have the means to ensure that our plan comes to pass. We have been saving from the two milk-producing cows that we have and we are hopeful that by then we will be having enough money to add up to the accrued amount and purchase a good breed."

"I expect that in the next six months, my life will have changed in that, I will have bought a dairy cow which I have always longed for through the saving from the merry go round. I believe having this dairy cow, I will earn an extra income through the sale of the surplus milk to cater to my family needs. My family will also be having enough milk for their consumption."

Kasiwa
enrolled.
"I have always had this great desire of starting up my own income generating activity. Ever since I had an accident and subsequently losing my job, I have understood what it means to have and to lack. And having struggled a lot trying to stabilize the situation with little success, this money comes in handy. Therefore, I will engage more in livestock trading, a business am so passionate about. Now that I have made some few strides in it, I will be able to put more focus now that capital won't be an issue anymore. Again I have a plot at the nearby shopping center which I want to develop using part of the transfers. This will help me to educate my children in the near future once it is operational. And that is what receiving this money means to me."
