"When I receive this money, I build an ironsheets 2 bedroom house. The current house we are living in is grass thatched and grass is very scarce following the dry spell. The current house is also very small to accommodate the whole family. I will also rent some agricultural land because we are currently practicing agriculture on small scale. This will ensure our food security and also bring income because we shall sale some food crops."

"The biggest hardship that I face is inadequate funds for taking care of my child. I conceived while at home waiting for my senior four results which has made it difficult for me to enroll for a course. I can not feed my child well, dress him and pay his medical bills because, I survive on casual labour which is not sustainable."

"I don't have a new goal at the moment. I want to focus on ensuring that my house is complete in the next six months. I am glad that the hope of finally having a decent house is will soon be achieved. I thank Give Directly for helping me achieve this goal."

"I was able to construct a kitchen using transfers I got from Give Directly. Even though I wasn't able to plaster it, I am happy I was able to build a bigger and more stable structure compared to what I had initially. I decided to smear it with clay. The clay isn't strong enough this means that the walls won't last for long. In the next six months, I expect to have saved enough money so that I can use to cement the walls and the floor. I am happy my long term goal of building a bigger house came to pass. I will be happier if I cement it because it would make it stronger and last longer."

"In the next six months of my life, I expect to have saved enough money to purchase most of the materials that I'll require to plaster my house such as cement, sand and enough money to pay the masons. I know through this, the house will be less dusty and I will have a strong and durable house."

"My life will have changed in several ways in the next six months. First, I expect that I will have bought another dairy cow after securing medical insurance. Hopefully, I will have built a larger poultry house and increase the number of chickens. This will ensure a continuous source of income through the sale of some of the Chicken eggs. Having medical insurance will make me the happiest parent since I know that my family can get medical attention whenever they get sick even when I do not have money."
