"I will be having a grocery outlet to sell my vegetable produce at the farm gate. I will be able to make more money from the farming initiative instead of selling the crops to traders at lower prices than if I sell them directly to consumers. This grocery business will give me a very interesting occupation and enable me to earn an income that will be good progress in my finances."

"I have always wished to practice poultry farming, a project that i know can earn me a great source of income upon selling the poultry products but i havent been able to do so due to lack of finances. This money will therefore help me initiate the project. I will be able to buy chicken and their feeds as well as building a poultry unit. I also have to fence around all my compound so that they won't get a gap that would lead them to destroying crops on peolple'farms"

"I am a single mother of thirteen children and bringing up this children is the biggest hardship I have faced in my life.Sometimes we lack basic needs like food and clothes.I have only one house with one room to accomodate the whole family. This hardship forced me to make local brew which is an illegal business in our country. We sometimes had conflict with authorities and sometimes forced to go into a hideout.I did this risky business for one year to a point that it affected my health due to the heat and smoke involved in the preparation of the local brew.I sought medication and the doctors advised me to stop the business. This is just one of several odd jobs that I have tried to make ends meet.I hope to use this money from Give Directly to do something positive and constructive to change my life and that of my family."

"Right now I depend on agri-business as a source of livelihood for my family and I have been having an intention of expanding and venturing myself in a different thing. Now, receiving this money means that I'll be able to start a business of buying young calves, graze them for an extended period of time and then sale them at higher price hence making profit. "
