"Receiving this money means building a Permanent house. The house I stay in is grass thatched and it's costly to maintain. Building a permanent iron roofed house will reduce the stress of renovating the house almost every year and that money can be saved for other household needs.
Owning a cow will also be one of my pressing needs. I will buy a cow that will act as an investment for my household as well as a source of food."

"Receiving this money means I will be able to build a house in which I can do business.
I do a tailoring business but I don't have a house where I can comfortably do it so I rent.
However, If I am able to build a house, I will be in position to save better since I will not be spending on rent."

"The biggest difference in my daily life since is that I have been able to achieve my long desired dreams of building a spacious house for my family and owning a heifer. The realization that I now own a heifer gladdens my heart since through it, I will be able to achieve so many things. Apart from getting milk for my family's consumption, my daily expenditure will have reduced and I will also be earning an income even when GiveDirectly shall have stopped giving us the promised financial aid."
