"The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of food to feed my family.
I don't have land that I can cultivate to get food so I buy food every day and yet there is no clear source of income.
I do casual labour to earn a living.
Some days when I fail to get where to go and work, my family sleeps hungry.
This sometimes forces me to go and work even when I am sick because without that, there will be no food for the day.

"Receiving this money means I will be able to build a better house since the one that I sleep in leaks.
I have tried to support the roof with stones but it is not safe.
I get worried each time the wind blows because I know that any time the roof can be blown off.
I also hope to buy a cow that can reproduce and help me take care of any eventualities that may arise in the future."

"The biggest hardship that I am faced with is feeding.
I don't have food in the house because of limited land for cultivation.
I do majorly casual labour to survive but this is never sustainable.
In days that I have not been able to find where to work, I can't have anything to eat in my house so I go to my parents atleast to find some food.
I feel I inconvenience them but when I fail completely, I have no option but to reach to them."

"My biggest hardship is lack of land from where the family can settle. We don't have inherited land where we as a family can settle. We hire land for farming and we cannot engage ourselves in commercial farming due to shortage of land ."

"My biggest hardship is lack of oxen for ploughing. We hire oxen at 200,000shs and sometimes this money is not there. We therefore can't dig a bigger portion of land with hand hoes and we end up having little food in the house."

"Receiving this money means that I will be in position to buy farm land. I have only two acres of land for crop farming, this produce very little produce due to low fertility. Once I buy more land , it will be possible to carry out large scale farming hence increased production. This will support my family in terms of food and other basic needs."

"Receiving this money means that I will buy land for farming and build iron-roofed house. My family hires land per season, this is quite expensive and at the end little crop produce is realised which does not support out needs. Also getting grass is to expensive and yet it requires renovating the house after every two years . I will engage in to serious farming hence maximising on production after buying my own land. These produce will support me in educating my children and providing other basic needs. The house built will enable savings and provide comfortable accommodation for my family members."

"Receiving this money means I will be able to get back to school.
I dropped out of school after my senior four examination so I have the certificate.
My mother failed to provide for me school fees because she fell sick and there was no other person to support.
I am believing that if I have the chace to get this money, I will enrole for a course at atartiary institution.
This will add value to the certificate that I have and I am sure I can get job with which I can earn salary.
This will improve my standard of living."

"Receiving this money means I will be able to build an iron roofed house.
The one that I have is too old and it even leaks.
If I have the chance to build a new house, I will shift to sleep in it and demolish the one that I currently use. "
