"Owning the pair of oxen has greatly improved my farming since I am able to prepare and cultivate much early than I used to do, which makes the biggest difference in my daily life. Initially, I used to own a pair but I sold them later on in order to clear school fees for my children so that they would be allowed back to school. Since then I have been hiring from my neighbors during the planting season which was very expensive to me. Sometimes I could not afford to cultivate my whole acreage because I wasn't able to meet the full cost of hiring the services. I had no option but to use the hoes by myself which was very tiresome and the harvest was just a handful. However, my life is currently different because, through this money, I managed to purchase the new pair of oxen which means I will no longer be hiring from anyone, instead, I will be hiring them at a fee. I will also be ploughing and cultivating my whole acreage and get plenty of harvests, which will ensure food security for my family."

"Owning the goats has made my life to be so different so far. I settled in buying goats because, first, they can live in any climatic condition and they reproduce twice a year and they mature faster compared to other domestic animals. I believe this will make me wealthier in a short period of time. I have been longing to rear them for a long period of time but I could not afford it because they were costly and my daily income was too low. The majority have started reproducing and when the offsprings mature and multiply, I will exchange them for a dairy cow. I believe this is going to happen in a few months to come. From the benefits I will be getting I will be able to pay school fees for my children without straining and some other basic needs."

"I have a grocery business which is currently my main source of income after I quit the previous domestic jobs I did before I started receiving these transfers. Now that the schools have closed and most people are at home, I feel that this may be the best time to start another business in french-fries. I never had this idea before, but after running the grocery business for some time now, I have an idea of where to get potatoes at a very good price which can give good profits."

"My expectation is that my life will be much better in the next six months because having recently cultivated some maize in my farm, I expect an abundant harvest. This means I will cease buying maize for consumption hence my daily budget will reduce. I also plan to sell some in order to get some capital to start a small grocery business. My income sources will be diversified hence will have enough to cater for my household needs. Besides, I believe I will have completed constructing the extra guest room to host my guests whenever they visit hence I will no longer shy away from inviting guests. Generally, my family wellbeing will have improved."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is that my son now have his own sleeping room and there he does not need to look for a place to sleep in from the neighbour's as he used to do before. I also now have a very comfortable place where my visitors too can spend their night as compared to before when I would take them to neighbor's house. If could not received money from give directly I could still be stressed thinking of where my son could sleep in."
