Festus
received a $501 second payment.
"My life is different from how it was in that, I have made a milestone in terms of development i.e having bought a 3000 liters capacity water tank, and a wall unit. The money that I currently get is channeled into other important matters. This would have taken me ages to see it come to pass were it not for GiveDirectly."

"I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I would have saved the money to buy a dairy cow. This dairy farming will enable me to cut the cost of buying milk daily which is very expensive."

Rose
received a $21 twenty-fourth payment.
"I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I would be in a position to produce more food for the family since I have devoted much of my time on farming rather than doing much of the casual jobs like before. I will have saved enough money for the school fees for my children."

Sharon
received a $21 twenty-sixth payment.
"My expectation is that in the next six months, I will have fully cleared the rest of the payment on the piece of land I recently purchased so that I can get its full ownership. I have been saving some part of the monthly transfers towards this course and hopefully, I will soon have enough to do this. I also started thinking of ways to earn extra income so that I can eventually be financially stable. I have not yet decided on how to achieve this but all I know is that I need to work harder and have an extra source of income. This will ensure that my children never go hungry at any given time or miss critical school sessions when they are sent home for delayed fee payments. This will ensure they have ample time to study and hopefully do well. Apart from that, being financially stable comes with some sense of respect, especially as a woman. People will respect you more when you can take care of your needs on your own without necessarily depending on anyone."

Robert
received a $501 second payment.
"My life is currently different since I have been able to clear paying the loan that I had. This would have taken me more time if I had to continue paying on my own. Also, with the transfers, I was able to clear paying this year's school fees for my two children who are in high school. Due to this, I now have enough time to look next years school fees. My children will also improve in their performance since they will not be missing their classes like before."

Vickoty
received a $501 second payment.
"My life is different from how it was in that, I now have assets that I can lean on in case of financial challenges. Among these assets is a dairy cow that currently gives us enough milk for consumption daily. Due to this, I have been able to save the money I would otherwise use in buying milk. Also, my children have never been sent back home like they used to before. This has given them enough time to concentrate on their studies without missing classes."

"I expect that life will be back to normal in the next six months. I believe that there will be no more infection of Covid-19 disease. I am hopeful that I will have resumed my bodaboda operation business fully and start some developments in my household using the little money that I will be getting."

Cherotich
received a $21 twenty-sixth payment.
"We currently live in a small sloped roofed house with my family. The small house is quite congested since my family is quite a big one. My expectation in the near future is to have built a bigger and better house that will comfortably accommodate us. I also want to ensure that my children continue with their education with minimum hitches. This possible by ensuring that I work hard and make enough money to meet their school fees and other requirements they may want. I want to ensure that their futures are a success and this, as a parent, will make me happy!"

Jane
received a $501 second payment.
"My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer that I will not have been in a position to buy a dairy cow. I depend on casual jobs in the village and saving money to buy a dairy cow was not easy."
