"Having my own dairy cows has made my life to be different in many ways. These cows are now producing milk in large quantities. My family is now enjoying taking white tea every morning. Apart from my family's consumption, I sell the surplus to the local dairy shop thus earning some cash. The income has improved my living standard since I can now comfortably fulfil my family's basic needs with ease unlike before where I would struggle due to lack of money."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now own some goats which I am currently rearing in my homestead. I chose to buy them because they mature and reproduce very fast, twice a year which is in line with my desire of owning a herd. My expectation is that I will be able to educate my children who are still young to achieve their goals through these goats. I won't struggle to raise school fees for them since I can readily lean on these goats."

"I have been living with my children at my parents compound. My desire was to buy my own land and build a home for my family since my culture does not allow women to inherit the land. Due to the financial hardships I am facing and being that I am a single mother, I lacked the resources to buy my own land. When I received my transfer, I fulfilled this as my priority and acquired the land. I feel this is the biggest difference in my daily life because my children will have their own place to build their homes besides being an asset to me."

"I spent part of my first transfer on buying some building materials such as building poles, timber, some pieces of iron sheets, nails and a wooden door. My intention was to build a new house and renovate that of my son since the previous one was in poor condition and very small. My son's house had grass-thatched roofing which temporary because whenever it could rain, he was rained on. I also cleared a debt of the piece of land from a friend and I am now owning it. Previously I used to lease from my neighbors during the planting seasons. I am now a happy farmer because I will be doing my agricultural activities without spending a lot of money on leasing people's farms as I used to do. I then bought some new mattresses to replace the old ones and we are currently sleeping comfortably. The remaining amount of money, I bought some foodstuffs for my family and some other household items that I was lacking"

"I spent part of my first transfer on buying some beddings which include a new mattress and some bedsheets. This was to replace the old ones which I was initially using. I then cleared fees for my two sons who are in college and secondary school. I then bought an ox plough for my pair of oxen which I was rearing in my compound. I used to hire the ox plough from friends which was costly. I then bought some few building materials such as iron sheets, nails and timber, for the renovation of my son's house which had a leaky roof. During the rainy seasons, he used to seek shelter from his friends since my house is not that spacious. The remaining amount of money, I am using it in buying some foodstuffs for my family."

"I spent part of my transfer on buying some beddings such as two beds and mattresses. Previously we used to sleep on the traditional beds and some old mats. This made us have some back pains every day and also being attacked with some bedbugs, this was really affecting us healthwise. It is now a relief because we are sleeping in a comfortable place. I later bought a dairy cow as an asset that I can depend on for a few months to come. I then bought some iron sheets, building poles and nails and this was purposely for the construction of a new house for my children since we used to share the same house which was small. Apart from that, there was no privacy since all my children are grown-ups. The remaining amount I nought some foodstuffs for my children that would take us for like two weeks time."

"I spent a larger part of my first transfer on buying some building materials such as building poles, iron sheets, ropes, timber, and nails. This was purposely of constructing a new house because previously I used to sleep on a temporary hut which was very small. Then I paid school fees for my children who are in primary school since they were approaching an exam. I later bought some new clothes for my children and I because the previous ones were old and torn. The amount of money that remained I bought some foodstuffs for my family and I, we are now taking three meals unlike before whereby we used to take a single meal."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now own livestock that include a heifer and a bull. These are valuable assets that we who are less fortunate can boast of owning in our poverty stricken society. The bull will be helpful in ploughing my farm and as for the heifer, I am expecting that it will reproduce and benefit from the milk that it will be producing. I can sell the surplus hence a source of income to me."

"Some times back we were hit by a drought that persisted for a long time and forced us to walk over long distances in search of water daily since I lacked a permanent water storage that would serve us for even a week. Through this transfer, I acquired a 4000-litre plastic water tank and gutters and installed it in my house. I am glad that this tank will not only harvest and store water for domestic purposes but also offers a long term solution in case of water shortage during the dry seasons, which makes it to be the biggest difference in my daily life."
