"I am so grateful for every work done by GiveDirectly not only to me but also to every other household in the village. Everyone's life was elevated making the villagers work harder to ensure that every coin out of the transfer could be accounted for. I am also glad that every household within the village was enrolled, and no one ever complained as we were given equal amounts to spend on any project we saw fit."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is the construction of my new house. Currently, I am in the final stages of the construction as I am now looking forward to fixing the doors and windows before moving in as every other part is ready. It is a good feeling that I am finally having a more presentable house, a similar status with the other neighbors who had been hosting my visitors on my behalf whenever I have more visiting me."

"So far, GiveDirectly is the only organization I have heard and know of which gives out unconditional cash transfer to people and in my opinion, this is what they do well. With the money, one can plan how to spend them according to his priorities and needs. I do not see anything that they do not do well."

"I have been spending KES 50 daily on milk and this is expensive and not enough to make tea for my family of 7 members and set aside some for my daughter's child who is still very young. At times, we are forced to take tea without milk and due to this, I decided to spend KES 23000 to purchase a heifer after receiving my transfers. Also, I spent KES 10000 to pay school fees for my daughter who is in her final year in secondary school studies. I settled on this so that she would not be sent back home to collect fee arrears hence she will be able to concentrate on her studies. Using the remaining KES 22000, I bought some food and clothes for my family."

"People have different needs, and GiveDirectly understands that by giving out unconditional cash transfers, we get to decide on how to use the money, with that we are happy, not all the organisations work in that manner, so far I don't see anything that is not done correctly"
