"The biggest hardship I have faced in life is living and doing farming on less than 0.5 acres of land. As a subsistence farmer, I have been trying to keep some livestock while and planting crops. Unluckily, my family is forced to survive with relatively little food we get from our farm. Also, I cannot expand my farming projects due to the land inadequacy."

"I have a desire to venture into dairy farming. I love this and it has been my passion ever since I was a young child. My young children will grow up healthy because milk is a good source of protein. Starting this business has been an impossible dream for me because I lack capital. If I am fortunate enough to be enrolled in GiveDirectly program, I plan to spend 40000 shillings on buying a quality Friesian cow. This will give me a reliable source of milk every morning. From it, I can rest assured that I will get 8-10 liters of milk daily. I will reserve 4 liters for domestic use and sell the rest at our nearby market at 40 shillings per liter. This will enable me to make savings which will greatly boost my financial independence."
