"I and my husband work as casual labourers dealing in charcoal trading. We get an income of 10,000 shillings per month which is not enough to start my livestock trading business as well as paying school fees for our 4 children. Financial constraints is therefore the biggest hardship in my life."

""I am a small business woman who sells tobacco in our village. I have been doing this work for 2 years now but the income is never enough for all our needs of food and education for my children. Receiving this money means boosting my current stock. I am planning to spend 50,000 shillings to purchase 50 kilograms. This can take me at least 2 months to sell and will generate good income for my family of 4 members. I anticipate to make at least 500 shillings profit from each kilo. Approximately, my family spends 300 shillings in a day on their basic needs so I can save the rest for their fees when school resumes. Also, I am planning to spend the remaining amount to clear fee balances for my 2 sons who are in secondary school.""

"Receiving this money means alot to my family. We have been struggling much with school fees for our children, we have one in secondary school and the other four are in boarding primary school. Annaully we spend more than 150,000 shillings as school fees and other school necessities. Due to prolong drought and the small size of our land the output from the subsistence farming mainly is for consumption. Hence we have been mainly relying on my husband to cater everything. He is a vetinary office since he has not employed by any, he opted to be available to livestock farmers who need is assistance at a fee. Since this has been our main source of income it has not been meeting our expenditure hence sometimes we could not clear school fees on time. We have been dreaming of boosting our source of income by purchasing atleast one dairy cow, I am now seeing this will come true if we receive this transfer."
