"I have always wanted to engage myself in business of buying and selling school uniform to the nearby schools. Growing up I used to see my mother engaging up in the same business, once in a while I used to help her in the business. I feel I will get enough returns to enable me to back to school ,I am from a poor background,my mother is a single parent and she used to struggle to pay school fees for me and my siblings. She managed to school me up to form four ,I did not want to burden her anymore. Iam passionate about education,my aspiration has been to do a course leading to a diploma in security studies ,which given a chance I will not hesitate to take it up. I feel that getting good education for a woman like me will empower me and even encourage my children to work hard in life and to be better people in future."

"Receiving this money means better housing for my family of 4. The house we live in now is quite small. This will cost me about Sh 30,000. I would also like to purchase a dairy cow that will give me milk to feed my two young children. Since I had discontinued my studies at a Tertiary institution nearby due to challenges in raising the required fees, it will be a great opportunity to continue my course too. This money will really go a long way in helping me achieve my certificate in masonry and by doing this hopefully I will secure better house construction jobs and hence give me more ability to save for the future."

"My spouse who engages in house construction to earn a living is the sole breadwinner of our family. However, getting such work in this area is a big challenge since people rarely construct houses due to lack of finances. We have 5 school-going children, three in primary school, one in secondary school and one who will be joining college soon. Supporting all their needs, and moreso education is the biggest hardship we face."
