"With 2 children in school, one in college taking teaching course and the other in the secondary level. I have been struggling to educate them especially in paying their fees they were often send home due to fee arrears. I am a charcoal vendor, a job that earns me utmost KES 3000 per month. I invested KES 44000 of my transfer on their education by giving the KES 22000 each to clear the fees. I am confident that my children will learn without being sent home due to fee issues. I also boost my goats rearing by purchasing two more goats at KES 2500 each this is because it was not stable because I had sold most of them children education. I bought enough food stock for the family with the remaining amount of the transfer."

"I spent KES 45,000 to start livestock rearing by purchasing 3 indigenous dairy cows. I have always wished to venture into this activity since I am experienced in dairy farming. This is a reliable of source income for the family as I am planning to be supplying milk to my neighbor at KES 50 per liter. I will use the income to cater to basic needs like food, clothing and save some to educate my children. I also used KES 2500 to pay school fees for my 3 children who are still lower primary. In addition, I purchased a school uniform for one of my kids who were casual wear while going to school. I was feeling ashamed as a parent for not fulfilling my responsibility. I bought enough food stock with the rest of my transfer."
