""Those challenges we are faced with are, "One", hustling for food is very difficult, in the sense that, we don't have rice farm, so we normally purchase rice by bag, and this happens through the little money we generate from the burning of charcoal/fire coal, and cassava produce. "Two", raising money to fulfill my dream (Buying land in Monrovia to build a house) had been another challenge for me, reason being, I and my husband have lot of mouths to feed, the money we can gather from our farming activities, and the burning of charcoal is very small, it normally goes behind feeding and supporting the children in school; nothing much can be left to save in other to fulfill my dream.""

""What I plan to do with my cash transfer are, firstly, to attend to my children's education, reason being, education comes first in life, when you educate your children they can become somebody in the feature that will help you, secondly, I want to invest into fish business, because fish market can really sell in our area; investing into business will actually help the family to stand financially, thirdly, I will invest into farming by purchasing different plants' seeds, this will help us sustain our home.""

"The biggest hardship I am facing is that I sometimes lcl food in my house. This is because to find money I have to go to the mountain to get firewood for sale. But since I'm pregnant now, and have a limp when I walk, I have been unable to be as productive as I used to be since my leg gives me problems and is painful. This means I won't make any money and my house won't have food."

"If I'm successful to receive the cash transfer from GiveDirectly I intend to build my personal house and use the balance to pay my daughter tuition fees in secondary School. Even though I produced charcoal but the money generated for the charcoal is not enough to build my own house and pay my daughter school fees in secondary school. My daughter was attending Bowein Elementary public school, this year she got promoted to the 7th grade, but the school is an elementary school. Bowein Elementary Public school is the only school that is in the town and affordable. I want her to go to SassTown High school to further her education but there's no money."

""The current challenge I'm faced with is finance. I need money to feed my family, send my children to school and to take care of other basic needs like shelter, health, and clothing. Because of the limited money I earn from the broom I sell, I am unable to do any of these but feeding the family. My children have not been to school for 4 years now; all they get to do nowadays is farm work. My spouse has left me with the children and I alone is unable to support them due to the lack of money"."

"The major challenge for us here is money. We produced coal to earn money as we said earlier, but the coal work is not giving us much money these. And this is because their are lot of other people who are doing the same coal production for sale.As the result, the price has dropped drastically. Due to that, having money becomes a major challenge for us. I say this because when we have money, we will be able to buy food, send our children to school and as well seek medical treatment when we are sick."
