received a $463 third payment.
"Building a kitchen with the larger part of my third transfer is the greatest gift GiveDirectly has given unto me since I no longer sleep together with my small livestock and poultry nor cook in my main house which had poor ventilation .I bought a solar lamp for lighting at night as using traditional lantern could affect my child while studying since he had a eye sight problem that lead to tears rolling from his eyes due to exposure smoke.I also bought fishing nets that I am now use to harvest fish and selling them in the nearby markets and getting daily income that I am using to provide for my family's needs comfortably."

"I spent my third transfer on purchase of a piece of land for 50,000 KES , where we intend to build our home in the near future and shift from the rented house at the shopping centre where we are currently living. This was necessitated by the fact that we have no land in our ancestral home so there is no room for us to build as a couple. We even have a balance of 30,000 KES to pay the land owner, but it is not a big issue because with my second transfer we agreed with my husband that I start a Retail Shop business using 45,000 KES.I always wanted a retail shop business but we had no Capital until GD sent us Grants. As we talk, I have just bought stock worth 50,000 KES for the shop, in addition to the stock that was there this morning, I even have the Receipt with me. And believe it or not, I have a total profit of 42,000 KES saved in my MPESA Account , which we shall use to pay the balance for the piece of land .I still sell 2 bags of charcoal on the side, which is the business I had before receiving GD Grants. Thank you very much for transforming our lives."

"I spent the larger part of my third transfer on plastering my new iron sheet house hence I am no longer rained on especially on this rainy season as before the transfer when I was staying in a leaky grassed thatched house. I also bought six goats of which five of them have already reproduced and now they are ten in totality. I am thankful to GiveDirectly since they have regained my humanity.."

"When I recieved my third transfer, I spent on livestock; I bought a bull and 4 chicken at a total cost of 20000 KES. And used the rest of the money to complete the construction of my main house that I had started with the second transfer. As we talk, I am very proud of Give Directly since they have made me a farmer who lives in a more descent house."

"I have successful gain the full my own-ship of a land which I had partly purchased with my savings as a result I am happy that I have put up my homestead with a three roomed house which used to seem impossible since before the transfer I was staying in a rental house with my family and it was really expensive and stressful due to frequent rangles with my landlord when I had overstayed paying rent . I am thankful to GiveDirectly for turning my life around."

"I spent my third transfer on topping up to buy a new motor cycle after selling my old one which I had bought second hand over 3 years ago.I had a rough time with my old motor cycle since I had to have it repaired frequently for it to keep functioning, which consumed my earnings and also time resource. However, since I got grant support from GD and bought a new one, I have gained efficiency , resulting to improved earnings and savings. In a period of 3 short months, I have already build a new 2 roomed kitchen using the proceeds from my new motor cycle . I thank you very much."

"When I received my third transfer, I renovated the walls and floor of my main house-I cemented the walls and floor since it had turned old and therefore it had dents and dusts all over. I considered it a bad place to live, not healthier to our lives."

"Staying in a decent three roomed house that I had built with the third transfer has always been un-achievable for a peasant like me since with my low income making priority of saving to build a house over feeding and educating my children has been null since before the transfer I was staying in was small one roomed house with nine members of my family as a result privacy wasn't maintained .I also partly paid school fees for my child who is in college."

"I spent part of my third transfer on buying building materials such as 10 pieces of iron sheets and I have saved 40,000 KES which I am planning to use on putting up my homestead ,what is delaying me is the traditional custom which states that one can't put up a homestead when his wife is heavily pregnant until she delivers. The remaining amount of money 3,000 KES, I used to repaired my motorcycle which I use to transport passages and goods in my village for pay."
