Judith
received a $463 third payment.
"When I received my third transfer, I spent 15000 KES on a sofa set, 5000 KES on a solar panel and the rest on food. My house never had chairs and therefore I was not confident to invite friends and visitors over my house and to make it worse, we never had enought food to eat and therefore we could feel hungry, tired and weak most of the time and therefore we prioritized food as well."

"I spent my third transfer on Depositing 30,000 KES in a Bank towards our child's Secondary education since he just sat his KCPE examination. Normally we grow vegetables near the river for sale but from time to time the River floods and washes it away and so it is not a reliable source of livelihood yet we need to educate our child and so GD Grants came to us quite timely. I also started a small Income generating activity where I make chapati and green grams outside a shop at the Market centre. The business is picking since in just 2 months my initial working capital has grown from 4,000 KES to 6,000 KES, and I feel rather excited."

"I spent the larger part of my third transfer on buying an irrigation pump generator and pipes to carry out a small irrigation scheme where I am planting vegetables ,water melon and tomatoes which I sell to people of my village hence at the moment the yields are splending thus I am able to get double income to support with my family's financial needs as opposed to before the transfer, when I was relying on my neighbor's water pumps which lead to delays in my farm activities which times affected my yields negatively .I also bought cupboard and two sofa set seats ."

"I bought building materials with the whole of my third transfer which I used in renovating my house. I had a mud house which was hard to maintain being that I'm physically challenged. So I had to seek help from kind hearted neighbors to help me smear it because I couldn't afford to pay for the labor. I'm now happy and at peace I got a long term solution to curb the challenges I faced previously."

"I spent my third transfer on buying building materials that I used to build a new house. My old house was so old-fashioned. The one I have now is a little modern. The other part of the money I spent on paying school fees for my daughter who, is sitting her last exams this year in high school. My brother who used to help me pay her school got some relief."
